Cavs’ Kyrie Irving waiting patiently during ‘peculiar’ offseason

There may be no other way to describe the Cavaliers’ offseason than “peculiar,” and that’s exactly what Kyrie Irving called it Tuesday.

“We’re in a peculiar place,” he said at Sports Illustrated’s “Fashionable 50” event in Los Angeles. “The best thing we can do is handle things with class and professionalism. Obviously we have a great owner that’s willing to spend a little money on guys that he believes in. At this point, we just see what happens throughout the summer.”

It wasn’t just what Labissiere did. It’s how he did it.

Labissiere was efficient, connecting on 11 of 15 attempts from the field and made the most of his trips to the foul line, knocking down nine of 11 free throws. Though he didn’t block a shot, he added a pair of steals and was only whistled for a personal foul twice. No doubt his presence alone in the middle contributed to the Suns shooting 40.2 percent from the field, well below their season average of 45.2. And he was clutch, scoring 21 in the fourth quarter, including the Kings’ first 14 in the quarter.

“And it’s a long, strenuous season and the NBA does a great job of putting the schedule together as best as they can. You’re going to have back-to-backs. You’re going to have certain games where certain things fall on certain nights, but a coach’s job is to figure out a way for their team to compete for a championship, not compete for a game.”

Little-known Suns forward Alan Williams continued his run of strong form by Cheap Knicks Jerseys scoring 16 points on 7 of 9 shooting with 12 rebounds in a 120-103 win over the Hornets. Williams Cheap Kids Jerseys has now scored in double figures each of his last four games.
